MW - 006 Discover Your Superpowers with Mindfulness

Have you ever spent a significant amount of time multitasking 10 different things, only to discover that you have moved further away your goal? How absurd! The Chinese have a saying 要快反而慢 which translates to "wanted to be fast but was instead slow". Humans have a serious need to slow down. Paradoxically, you can achieve much faster by slowing down. Trust me because I’m a speed monster in rehab. Mindfulness actually saved my life. Canadian journalist Carl Honoré puts it succinctly "In a world addicted to speed, slowness is a superpower." How would you like to have the superpower for intense focus and to blaze through life by slowing yourself down? Give me an hour of your time and I'll show you how to start.

OW - 004 Emotional Management with Flower Energies

There are no "bad" emotions. Emotions are bodily reactions to protect us. However, many
times, we become overwhelmed or stuck with a certain emotion and unable to move
forward.
Dr Edward Bach, a renowned UK physician who practiced in the 1920s, observed a strong
link between physical ailments and emotional imbalances. This is being recognized in recent
years as psychoneuroimmunology in conventional medicine, acknowledging the fact that
balancing one’s emotion and mental state helps to strengthen one’s physical health.
The Bach flower remedy system has been used in the past century all over the world to help
people balance their emotions and restore clarity of mind. Join us in this workshop
 to review possible emotional disturbances that you may not be aware of but
harbouring in you
 find out how flower remedies (these are not essential oils) can help us to manage
our emotions
 select remedies and make a treatment bottle for yourself (at $18/bottle, UP $28)

OW - 007 Ancestral Trauma and Morphic Fields

Ancestral Trauma and Morphic Fields
Explore how family constellations can help you and your family live free from the
pain of your ancestors.

Are you carrying inherited trauma from your ancestors?
What if some of the struggles you are facing in your life today, are not entirely of your
own making? Have you ever wondered if the root cause of your problems did not
originate with you? Studies show that the traumas experienced by our parents,
grandparents and ancestors may be the hidden reason behind unexplainable physical
and psychological issues. This phenomenon which is commonly referred to by scientists
as secondary PTSD, is ancestral trauma which we carry through our DNA and pass
down to our descendants.

The multi-generational effect of trauma.
When a trauma occurs, it causes a deep wounding at an energetic and cellular level. To
cope with this pain and loss, we pass down beliefs which are aimed at protecting future
generations from similar negative experiences. While the intention of subconsciously
passing down beliefs is to protect, a belief which may have been relevant to an ancestor
a hundred years ago, may not be relevant to you and your family today.

Family Constellations
Family Constellations works on the premise that most traumas are embedded in a story
from the past. Within each story is stored energy which we carry with us in our energy
fields, until the story is untangled. Family Constellations works directly with ancestral
trauma to resolve unexplainable issues and enable future generations to live with a
renewed freedom.

You may be carrying ancestral wounds if:
● You have been trying to fix the same problem over and over again.
● You find yourself relieving tragedies from previous generations.
● Many members of your family have a similar issue.
● You find yourself wondering if you are cursed in some way or doomed to live life
on someone else’s terms.
Are you ready to release what does not belong to you?
In this 1 hour 45 minute interactive workshop, you can expect to:
● Gain an understanding of where your problem originates from
● Release beliefs that do not belong to you
● Open your awareness to the presence of morphogenetic energy fields and its
effects on your everyday life.

This is a result of the formation of freshly cleansed energy, making way for new possibilities for all within this space. This session is open to all, no prior experience in meditation necessary. Come dressed for comfort.

MW - 003 Connecting Through Laughter Yoga

A laughter yoga session typically involves a combination of simple yoga breathing techniques and laughter exercises, sometimes referred to as "laughter meditation." Participants engage in playful activities such as clapping, chanting, and lion laughter exercises to help stimulate laughter and promote deep breathing.

During a session, participants are encouraged to laugh without inhibition and to interact with others in the group, creating a supportive and positive environment. The goal is to promote physical and emotional well-being by reducing stress, strengthening the immune system, and increasing energy levels.

It is important to note that little clinical research has been done to date on the effectiveness of laughter yoga, and it should not be seen as a substitute for medical treatment or therapy. However, many practitioners report feeling more relaxed, positive, and energized after participating in a laughter yoga session.

Overall, a laughter yoga session can be a fun and unique way to improve both physical and emotional health, while also promoting social connections and community building.

Laughter yoga can offer a range of benefits for students, parents, and teachers in international schools. According to research, laughter yoga can improve emotional intelligence, academic performance, and reduce stress and anxiety levels.

For students, laughter yoga can encourage physical play and self-expression, which is essential for emotional development. Additionally, laughter exercises can improve oxygenation, which may increase academic performance. Yoga, in general, can enhance self-regulation, leading to better stress management and attention, and ultimately, improved learning outcomes. Furthermore, laughter has been shown to decrease stress hormones, including cortisol and epinephrine, which can positively impact mental well-being.

For parents, laughter yoga can provide a fun and unique way to bond with their children while also reducing their own stress levels. Laughing with children can create a positive and playful environment at home, which can foster healthy family relationships.

For teachers, laughter yoga can provide a valuable tool for managing stress and improving overall well-being. Teachers are often under high levels of stress, which can negatively impact their health and teaching quality. Incorporating laughter yoga into their routine can provide an opportunity for self-care and improve their ability to manage stressful situations in the classroom.

In summary, laughter yoga can offer a range of benefits for students, parents, and teachers in international schools, including improved emotional intelligence, academic performance, and reduced stress and anxiety levels.

MW - 004 Movement Art Mindfulness for Caregivers (Parents & Educators)

With the combined pressures of school work and activities, family and social life, and excessive screen time, children are compelled to meet increasing demands. Left unchecked, prolonged stress and anxiety can contribute to physical, emotional and mental health challenges into their adolescence and adulthood. While healthy stress is a natural part of life, it is far more powerful to raise resilient children who have the right tools to cope with and bounce back from setbacks.

In this interactive talk with practical exercises and Q&A, caregivers, educators and parents will deep dive into:
- Understanding the stress response. What happens in the brain when you or your child is feeling anxious.
- Adopting developmental play that can help release stress and anxiety.
- Learning mindfulness techniques to promote emotional resilience.
- Exploring sensorial activities that bring kindness, calmness and laughter.
- Acknowledging feelings through movement art mindfulness.
- Learning energy flow and conscious breathing to the heart space.

This talk will share presentations and practices on why it is important not to ignore the signs of stress in children and adults, and how to manage them with healthy strategies.

Suitable for caregivers, educators and parents with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children and teens.

Mindfulness is the ability to touch life deeply in every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and in touch with those around you and with what you are doing. When we do this with loving-awareness, we can awaken to the wonders of life that are happening in the here and now. In this parent-and-child workshop, we will explore joyful and light-hearted sitting and walking meditation.

NW - 004 How to FEEL powerful. The top 5 mistakes women over 45 make that sabotage, weight-loss, energy, and sleep. Why peri-menopuase might be the most powerful stage of your life and how you can optimise the experience!

I thought I had gone through the ‘hard hormonal stuff’ with my journey to fertility in my 30s.
I got through the postnatal period and life had settled into a wonderful flow & then….

What was working just did not and I started to feel far removed from myself. I started to gain weight and my energy started to shift.

That was in my 40s. Hello peri-menopause.

Now in my 50s I continue to understand how hormones are impacting my health. As we speak I’m creating a new roadmap for myself — one that’s digging deeper into my DNA to better know my family history risk factors.

For me, this kind of information and a plan takes me to a place of power and control.

If you suspect or know you are in peri-menopause, you need the right tools to help you shift operating systems. What a lot of people don’t know is that your hormonal system is shifting from your ovaries and handing this job over to your nervous system.

That is a big change- and without the right support it is no wonder your body can feel like “What the hell! Who is this?

Come join me for an afternoon of discovery and fun!

Walking, its steps bring rhythms, patterns and songs which us humans have in common. Walking has been around since the beginning of time and it played a significant role in our human evolution. How our ancestors walked to hunt, farm or travel formed the walking on a daily basis? Are our minds at peace when we walk most of the time? What’s a neutral posture for a more efficient walking pattern? How can we go for long distance walks pain-free? Learn to empower your posture and improve your walk with Hafeez Hassan through embodying the warrior in you. This workshop consists of a few locomotion exercises guided by Hafeez to allow participants understand what they need to work on in a walking position followed by some isometric holds of “warrior poses” derived from yoga, martial arts and dance to discover the inner warrior in them. Hafeez will then guide participants to integrate their inner masculine through a guided walking meditation, which will eventually proceed to the warriors dance!

 select remedies and make a treatment bottle for yourself (at $18/bottle, UP $28)
More information on the Bach flower remedy system can be found at:
